Acquiring food anywhere but your own kitchen in the time of quarantine is, well, awkward. A run to the grocery store to stock up on items that I literally need to survive sends me and my brain on a wild guilt trip. I’ve ordered one take out meal so far and it was from Frank Gourmet Hot Dogs on a Monday afternoon after a heavy Sunday Funday in Covid quarantine. So now I’ve eased up a bit on the anxiety about getting take out food, especially knowing that restaurants are working with low amounts of staff and taking all of the necessary precautions to make sure the food is being prepared with the most intense sanitary procedures.
Take-out brunch has proven to be quite the buzz around social media here in WNY and I’m seeing tons of places offering quart containers of their house made bloody mary mixes, bottles of prosecco, fresh-squeezed OJ, brunch specials – the whole sha-bang. It’s quite exciting, and since my birthday is this weekend, it’s been my only request to my family and closest friends – finally indulging in take-out brunch from some of my faves. In fact, me and my number one quaranteamer just got a pre-order in for 100 Acres brunch this Saturday, and I’m definitely looking into a little treat from The Grange on Sunday, too.
Anyway, here’s a roundup of “totally worth it quarantine takeout brunch spots” in no particular order. They’re all just THAT GOOD. You’re welcome!
Here’s the brunch menu from last week, and we’ve been told to stay tuned for this weekend’s menu and ordering instructions, so give them a follow on Facebook and Instagram. If a BS griddle doesn’t pull you out of a quarantine depression, IDK what would.
Breezy Burrito Bar doesn’t have a set brunch menu, but they’ve been offering bloody mary’s on Sundays for your takeout brunching pleasure. They’ve also been absolutely slaying the takeout game in general, so give them a follow on Facebook and Instagram for updates, hours of operation each day, and ordering instructions. If you don’t consider nachos and burritos brunch food anyway, we’re not riding the same wavelength.
